Don’t worry about lack of confidence, shyness or a lack of experience. We can help you to overcome this through gentle communication and teamwork techniques. Our non-traditional approach means no intimidating classrooms. Instead you learn through practical experience doing REAL work in a REAL factory.

Case Studies

Melissa Hammond



Melissa came to The Employability Trust to complete a short term contract after leaving school. She stayed with us and has now progressed to a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Warehousing. After completing production and warehousing operations she is now a team leader and looking forward to progressing through her apprenticeship. Since joining The Employability Trust Melissa has also passed her driving test and bought her first car enabling her to gain even more independance and confidence.

Keith Allen-Carr



Like Melissa, Keith joined The Employability Trust for a short term contract before styaing to complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Warehousing Operations. Keith is enjoying his warehousing position and is looking forward to completing his Fork Lift Truck operators licence soon.

Jordan Pegman



Jordan completed the work experiene programme at The Employability Trust. With a number of qualifications that he had earnt at school, college and The Employability Trust he should have had no problem securing a career of his choice. His confidence held him back though. After working with Jordan on communication, confidence and interview skills he has secured a permanent position at Philadelphia Structures.

Ashley Hardy



Ashley completed a Stewarding course at The Employability Trust. She now has 2 positions at Alton Towers as ride supervisor and farm assistant.

Bobby-Joe Wright



Bobby-Joe completed the Employability, Health and Safety and Stewarding courses at The Employability Trust. He also participated in the Marie Curie Christmas campaign before completing a 3 month contract at Seaward. He is now working as a full time shop fitter.

Jane Rishworth



Jane volunteered at The Employability Trust as a trainer, helping many young people gain confidence, skills and qualifications. She is now working full time at Darlington College.

Vicky Miller



Vicky took part in our work experience programme. She now works as a freelance photographer after gaining confidence and improving her communication skills.
